Volunteer FAQ
- Q: Do I have to be a Cal Poly student to volunteer?
- A: Yes. If you are finished with classes at the end of Winter Quarter, but you aren't walking until June, you are still a Cal Poly student for Wildflower.
- Q: The says the ID number I'm trying to enter is already in the system, but the owner of the ID number isn't on another list. What do I do?
- A: It's possible someone else mistyped an ID number. Send the volunteer's name and ID number to volunteermanagement@wfcommittee.com.
- Q: What does it take to be a Guest?
- A:
- Guest MUST be CP students and bring their ID to the lake.
- Guest payments of $20 can be payed at the volunteer meetings in Mott Gym held April 23rd & 24th at 7pm.
- Every guest must turn in a Guest Waiver which contains general information as well as the rules and regulations or they cannot go! They must present their CP ID before the waiver will be accepted.
- All guests must PRE PAY!! No payment = no entrance! No payments will be taken at the event.
- Guests coming up to Wildflower must have at least ONE volunteer in the vehicle with them.
- Q: Our group missed the first Group Rep meeting, but my organization still wants to go to Wildflower, can we still get in?
- A: Yes. Unfortunately since the first Group Rep. Meeting was MANDITORY your organization will need to go
under another group that attended the first meeting. This means that you will need to meet whatever rules that
group has for its volunteers. This is a great way for new clubs to get into Wildflower for the first time.
- Q: Do Guest get a t-shirt?
- A: No. T-Shirts are reserved for Volunteers only.
- Q: Can guest leave early?
- A: No, Guest must arrive and depart IN THE SAME VEHICLE as a CP Volunteer. They will also held to the same standards and rules as the CP Volunteers which doesn't allow for them to leave until after the race has finished and the volunteers are dismissed on Sunday.
