Transitions Shift Duties
Transitions Team is very excited to have you as a volunteer for the weekend of Wildflower. The Team Leaders
and Sub-Committee decided to give all of you FRIDAY OFF so you can settle into Beach City. All we ask
is that you work very hard for us on Saturday and Sunday.
The Transitions Area (TA) of a triathlon is where it happens Rain or Shine. We are the first up in the morning
and the last to go back to beach city at night. Having a well staffed transitions area is a key element to a
successful race for these athletes.

- Provide security for the area
- Athlete body marking
- Crowd control in and around perimeter
- Cheer on the athletes

- Clean area of debris

- Best Choice! Eagle One, which is the blue people carrier on the water in Beach City. Leaves dock at 5:30 AM sharp
- White Vans will be driving around Beach City 5:00-5:45 AM
- Orange School Bus, this is not the fastest, but if you are running late use it!!!
- Walking (about 1 mile)
Afternoon shifts:
No volunteer can leave early from their shifts. If you have afternoon shifts on Saturday and Sunday, you have to make sure you are on time to check in.
To Return to Beach City:
- All volunteers must walk (no one can get into beach city until 2:00pm or until shift is done)
- On Sunday, no one is allowed to leave the lake until 2:00pm or until shift is finished which may be up to 4:00pm
Any questions or concerns please direct them to your Volunteer Rep, Sub-Committee or Team Leaders.
We are going to have a wonderful time. All the Transitions Team members would like to thank you for
your commitment to putting on the best triathlon in the World!!!
